Administrator - Main Kitchen (Halal Coordinator)

JOB SCOPE

  • Provide high-level of administrative support handling all Halal related workflow according to Halal requirements and SOP.
  • Maintain documentation system and management of Halal records, invoices, purchase requisitions, Banquet Halal events orders, ritual cleansing applications and vendor Halal invoices.
  • Prepare purchase orders for Halal food orderings. To co-ordinate with the respective procurement officer and Chefs’ in relation to Halal PR order/delivery needs.
  • Maintain and/or create Halal files or record keeping systems. Sort, label, file and retrieve documents or other materials according to our standard Halal SOP.
  • Monitor, track and follow up on Halal required documentation, Halal certificates, ritual cleansing application or other assignments to ensure appropriate timelines are met and actions completed.
  • Coordinate any Halal related requirements between department i.e. Stewarding, Chefs’, Receiving and Procurement.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication, coordination and rapport with Team Members, Halal committee and Management.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive materials.
  • Perform any other tasks and projects as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree / Diploma in Business Administration, Halal management is preferred
  • Well verse in Halal Quality Management. System (HalMQ)
  • Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Internet Explorer.
  • Minimum of five years solid experience in similar capacity.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently, meticulous and detail-oriented.
  • Responsible, accountable and discreet with sensitive / confidential information.
  • Possess a positive work attitude: committed, enthusiastic, outgoing, and helpful; be willing to learn, to participate and to assist others.
  • Be able to work under pressure in a fast moving environment.
  • Be well groomed, project a professional appearance at all times.
