Level 2 POS Engineer

Job Description :

The Level 2 POS Engineer performs deep analysis and troubleshooting of issues escalated by Level 1 POS engineer. Analyse logs provided to determine if issue warrants bug fix and perform simulation to confirm if the issue is reproducible. Escalate issue and findings to Level 3 with proper documentation for bug fixes. Also help to oversee complex rollouts or issues, and plan necessary assignments for Level 1 POS engineer.

Maintain a close working relationship with QA, development team to ensure that the deliverables are up to expectation. May be required to act as Support Lead in maintaining close contacts and issue updates to the customers.

 

Responsibilities:

Customer Relationship Management

  • Issues reported by customers are attended to promptly
  • Serves as a bridge in communicating customers’ concerns to the supervisor
  • Coordination between hardware support team and/or senior support engineer
  • Carries out installation tasks, staging tasks, standby duties and any other support related tasks as required
  • Upkeeps records to ensure documentation are kept up-to-date in relation to customers’ operating environment
  • Performs basic statistics analysis and reporting

 

Requirements :

Formal Education & Certification

  • Minimum a Diploma or ITE’s Certificate in Technology or service related domain.

 

Knowledge & Experience

  • Five year experience in the technology support arena experience
  • Point-of-Sales experience preferred
  • Knowledge and understanding of retail practices
  • Experience with SQL and familiarity with Linux platform
  • Experience with Linux commands, setting and configuration changes
